Privacy Notice

Direct Chat is a private one-to-one messaging service. A conversation can be started only with the other person’s exact User ID.

What we store

We store your User ID, a salted password hash, consent record, conversations, text messages, reactions, read states, and the attachment records needed to deliver files. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Attachments

Before the upload button is enabled, you must agree that pictures, videos, audio, and documents are temporary. Uploaded media is stored privately for conversation participants and is removed from chat storage during the daily 4:00 AM cleanup. Text messages remain until you or a conversation participant deletes them.

Notifications

If you allow browser notifications, your browser may notify you about chat activity. Message content is not added to analytics or advertising systems. You can disable notifications in your browser or device settings for lokeshreddy.dev.

What we do not use

We do not use chat content for advertising, public profiles, or a public user directory. This service does not provide end-to-end encryption, so do not share passwords, payment information, credentials, or sensitive personal information.

Control and deletion

You can delete messages, conversations, or your account. Account deletion removes your chat account and associated conversation data. Blocking prevents new conversations between the two accounts.
